I've been a lazy, or rather, bashful photographer as of late. I leave the majestic Ms. D40 at home and take my humble Flip video camera. A short video is actually thousands of pictures, I choose the best frame. What I compromise in quality, I save in time and load.
Wednesday, I took a trip to Helsingborg, Sweden to cheer on a Swedish friend's home town football [soccer] team. It was cold. It is cold. Sweden is cold. And far too windy for my taste. Though, it is so ridiculously windy that it's funny, which helps.
There was a cheering section. Which I would call the student section, if not comprised of all ages--equally rambunctious. The chants, used for team encouragement and crowd calefaction, were catchy. This one especially.
Example of Swedish wind and my still-shot-from-video-method.
But why show just one frame when I can share the whole video!? So, a quick [and amateur...and hasty...and apologetic] scan of Helsingborg. Even though the very Disney-esque streets are lost in the red roofed view-from-above, you still feel a tickle of Skåne's magic.
