Day 239: Goals Schmoles

My sister can attest, I [we] need lists. A manifesto of our ambitions. Not so nobly, 'goals for the greater good', but rather selfish personal points of satisfaction that, when reached--and lustily
checked-off--guarantee an inner high. And if not that, the desire to do it & check it drives something, somewhere

In an attempt to stay young and hip, I'll semi-abandon scrawls & scratches upon old internet bills
and instead lace my blog with lists--reduced potency.  My dreams crudely manipulated  for entertainment.*
I am American gol-darnit. And so I'll proudly gimmick these goals.

What does this all mean? Well, starting Sunday. I'll attempt a
theme-week. (Days' assignments published later this week...). The days' themes are testers. I hope to adopt some of the more successful, fun [for me] themes as reoccurring features. But as we have witnessed, structure scares me. (e.g. the desertion of 'Music Wednesday') To satisfy my own list-fix, some of the themes will fulfill old & aching, neglected, list-squatting, aspirations.

You may have already guessed that Blog at its very core is but a check on a list. At its birth, my skills & sense of worth were low. Blog made me write. Blog made me photograph. Blog made me think.
Check, Check, and May be Disputed.

"Swedish Night Creatures."

*Have faith, I will not and do not intend to sell-out on my deepest, darkest, life-goals.  I've a bit of honor left.
