I am absent-minded. Some call it stupid, but I call it '...just thinking about something else'. Today while mixing up a batch of spinach and artichoke dip I never would have guessed that 10 minutes in the future I'd be huddled over the toilet with a ladle, a can lid, & spinachy-poo water.
My cousin, also the photographer of today's photo, had occupied both sinks with 'clean' dish water, leaving me no choice but to dump my drained spinach water down the toilet. Little did I rememer (as I was thinking of things other than my current duty) that the spinach can's lid was also in the water to be drained. Til' plunk, the can splashed into the can.
Predicting the potential plumbing nightmare, I immediatly started scraping the toilet hole with a ladle, hoping to retrieve the lid without taking my hands to the pool. No luck. I dove in.
