Day 34: Monday Punday

Nothing makes me happier than a good pun.  Except maybe the discovery of 2nd language puns.

The Pun: Vi er Chokoglade.
The Translation: Vi=We; Er=Are; Glade=Happy; Chokolade=Chocolate.
The Explanation: The lade of chokolade is replaced with glade, happy. Literally, We are Choco-Happy.

I can read enough Danish to spot punny advertisements. But I didn't understand what the FedEx man just said to me; and don't even get me started on the irreplicable Danish pununciation of glade or lade.


(fyi: the gas prices are Danish Kroner per Liter, not Gallon. 10 DKK is about 2 USD. So gas is roughly $8 per gallon. Quit yer Bitchin' )
